Planning a Leaf-Peeping Road Trip

Have you seen the news about fall foliage? There are new "leaf peeping apps" available to help you find the best changing colors of the season. It's the best time of year to go on road trips, particularly if you live in New England. With "Leaf Peepr" by Yankee Magazine, you can use the app to find the latest spots where the leaves are changing to brilliant reds and golds.

In New England, the best time of year to plan a leaf peeping road trip is in late September to late October. If you are headed up to northern Vermont and Maine, then the best time of year is early October, but in late October and even early November, southern New England down to Boston Commons offers the best views of beautiful seasonal leaves.
